The Greater Ozarks International Trade Association, GOITA, in partnership with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s International Business Council and the P-20 Council of the Ozarks, are pleased to invite you to an informational meeting. The meeting will be held at the Springfield Chamber office on Wednesday, October 11 with registration and networking beginning at 11:30 a.m. and the program beginning at noon.
Heather Hardinger, Programs & Communications Director with the Taney County Partnership, will be our keynote speaker. She will share information about Branson’s efforts to recruit 200 individuals from the U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. This effort, in place since April of 2017, was developed in direct response to employer needs. The Hispanic Workforce Coalition was also launched out of that effort. Ms. Hardinger will also provide an overview of the region’s efforts to engage with nearly 750 J-1 international students.
In her role with the Taney County Partnership at the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Hardinger, is responsible for moving the needle on Branson’s’ unique workforce and economic development needs. She works closely with employers, community partners and leaders across the region to identify workforce needs and solutions.
