The media is filled with reports of data breaches which cause companies to suffer major financial losses and can damage a company’s reputation. While often the target is a large company, small to midsized companies can also be targeted and losses due to fraud schemes can be excessive.
The Greater Ozarks International Trade Association and the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce invite you join us on April 25 as Angela R. Morelock, CPA, CFE CFF. ABV, Managing Partner for BKD presents Forensic Accounting for International Businesses, Protecting Your Business From Fraud Losses. You will have the opportunity to gain additional insight into the trends in fraud losses related to cybersecurity incidents and ways that you can protect your organization.
This meeting is open to anyone with an interest in international business opportunities. Registration and lunch begins at 11:30 AM, followed by the presentation and networking at noon on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce located at 202 John Q. Hammons Parkway, Springfield, MO 65806.

About our Speaker
Angela Morelock, CPA, CFE, CFF, ABV is a Managing Partner for BKD with more than 20 years of experience. She leads BKD’s forensic accounting and investigations team, providing fraud investigation and prevention, complex litigation support and forensic accounting and expert witness assistance to attorneys in a variety of litigation matters. Ms. Morelock and her team have investigated some of the largest fraud cases in the United States which include the FBI, US Department of Justice and the US Attorney’s Office.
A certified fraud examiner (CFE) and certified in financial forensics (CFF), as well as a CPA, Ms. Morelock has resolved a wide range of fraud and white-collar crime. Due to her extensive background in business valuation she has also earned the AICPA’s Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation which is granted exclusively to CSPs who demonstrate business valuation expertise and experience.
She was selected as one of the area’s “Most Influential Women” by Midwest CEO Magazine in 2008 and by the Springfield Business Journal in 2009.
