Export Controls: What you need to know

The next meeting of the Greater Ozarks International Trade Association and the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce International Business Council will be held on June 21 over the lunch hour at the Chamber office.
At this meeting, Carie Samuel, Marisol International & Kristi Wiggins, U.S. Commercial Service will discuss the red flags of exporting, including regulatory compliance and the other aspects of Export Controls.
This event is open to anyone with an interest in international business opportunities.
Registration and networking begin at 11:30 AM followed by program at noon on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce located at 202 John Q. Hammons Parkway, Springfield, MO 65806.

Carie Samuel is the Chief Compliance Officer with Marisol International, with over 27 years of experience in the international freight forwarding and customs brokerage industry. Spending her days monitoring regulatory changes, she works to keep clients and Marisol staff updated with the latest information on process and system requirements from both Customs and the various other government regulatory agencies. Carie holds an undergraduate degree from Missouri State University, graduating with a BSED in 1989. Her post graduate work was also completed at Missouri State University in 1997, where she received a Master of Science in Education. She obtained her Customs Broker License in 1996 and later earned her Certified Customs Specialist and Certified Export Specialist through the NCBFAA Educational Institute, completing a minimum of 20 hours of training annually to maintain those certifications.
